Questions and Answers
So, I'm back. Might as well see what's been going on around and outside of here.
So I'm gone for four days, and what happens? The Pope dies and (wait for it) Terry Schiavo dies (so I'm told by nat).
Amazing, isn't it. So much goes on and we don't give a damn because we're doing something else. You can feel sorry for someone when they tell you their uncle has cancer, but you cannot truly feel sorry for them and fully understand their pain until you find out your own uncle has cancer. Both of these people died, but I only think of them momentarily. Then I'm on to something else because I've just been skiing and boarding for four days in 250 cm snow and my thoughts are on my vacation and, furthermore, I'm not connected to either of them in any way.
I'm impressed by the input on the Terry Schiavo issue. Some nice comments and I enjoy reading your thoughts.
I have a question that's nagging me. For anyone (and I mean anyone) who lives in the Lower Mainland region in BC and/or has been to Grouse Mountain and has watched Born to Fly in the Theatre in the Sky, could you somehoe find out the rest of the stanzas and/or the title of the poem recited?
That's not going to be many (or any) people, so here are the only two lines I remember:
The sky knows no clock
and
And I will sail on, immortal
For some reason I was enraptured by this poem (sort of like my fascination with Gary Jule's Mad World from Donnie Darko) so if any of you have heard anything about this anywhere, please tell me.
